Cultivating Allyship in the Workplace
Cultivating Allyship in the Workplace
We each have a role to play in affirming healthy behaviors that create workplace cultures in which all people thrive.
WHY: In this crucial moment of cultural transformation, including the #metoo and #blacklivesmatter movements, many of us are looking for ways to be an effective part of hopeful change. The time for action is now. Starting this journey requires gaining knowledge and confidence, both personal and professional. We can help you take the next step.
WHAT: We help leaders and teams build the support, capacity and skillfulness they need to navigate the transition toward a more equitable culture.
HOW: We offer 1:1 executive coaching and group trainings to support organizations as they navigate complex culture change. Our work supports leaders from the inside out, focusing on the personal, interpersonal, and systemic dimensions of change – all rooted in the power of our personal stories.
WHO WE SERVE: We focus on serving business leaders and people leaders who are passionate about building a more thriving and equitable culture. We work with leaders who are open to change and want some guidance as they figure out how best to bring about the changes needed.
WHO WE ARE:
Dan Mahle is a facilitator, storyteller, and leadership coach with a background in HR and over a decade of experience leading transformational learning programs. He is the Founder of Wholehearted Masculine and Principal Consultant at Dan Mahle Consulting.
Lesley Curtis founded the communications company Sagely, which offers multiracial team-led antiracism communications services. Lesley has written articles on race and marriage, race and parenting, and tips for white allies. She holds a Ph.D. from Duke University, where she studied abolitionist movements in the 19th-century Caribbean.
In a time when honest and vulnerable conversations are so critically needed, it was great to see how Dan and Lesley were able to leverage their unique and gifted expertise to create the kind of environment where these sorts of conversations can occur. I walked away feeling more educated, more connected, and more skilled to lean into allyship as a way to support myself and others around me. Thanks for this brilliant workshop.
Lesley and Dan have the ability to listen deeply, a critical capacity in addressing the trauma associated with racism.
Dan and Lesley bring care and thoughtfulness to their offerings. They created a creative space to explore and learn. Their stories, framing, and questions invited us to explore challenging topics in a supportive way.
Pathways To Allyship is a great place to start for organizations trying to understand how to create more allies in their organization.
Pathways to Allyship courageously facilitates authentic group conversations about the personal affects of living in a time of so much unrest. I felt safe to be vulnerable and learned so much from the other participants.
The Pathways to Allyship seminar helped me see ways that I can be a more engaged listener and ally in my professional and personal life. I highly recommend it.
