WHOLEHEARTED MASCULINE MEN’S GROUP
Explore the power of brotherhood in a dedicated community of men
Explore the power of brotherhood in a dedicated community of men
The Wholehearted Masculine Men’s Group is a space for men to be real with themselves and each other.
For millennia, men gathered together around campfires to share our stories – stories of the hunt, of wisdom, of rites of passage, and of our families and communities. Today, many of us feel disconnected from an embodied sense of belonging among men. Men’s Group is a call back to community and brotherhood, in service to a more just and thriving world for all.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Wholehearted Masculine Men’s Group is a facilitated space for men to be real with themselves and each other. Together, we will compassionately identify the core stories that have defined us and help each other walk new, empowering pathways in our lives. We draw on men’s work practices passed down across generations as well as the emergent wisdom that every participant contributes to the spaces we co-create together.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Our Online Men’s Group meets twice per month with an intro session at the start of each season to onboard new men – all sessions are 7:00-9:00pm MT.
We also have an in-person men’s group that meets in Salem, MA.
Each 2-hour session includes:
Why gather with men? Our society teaches men to bottle up their emotions, to abandon intimacy and connection in order to avoid looking weak, and to pursue status and power over others in an attempt to affirm their self-worth. Without the skills or support to express feelings in healthy and authentic ways, we can become numb to the raw power and sensuality of existence. This disconnectedness can lead to destructive behaviors such as addiction, the need for control, and even violence. What most men want is to feel loved, connected, and alive – and yet far too often our cultural conditioning keeps us distant, detached, and depressed.
Today, men from around the world are co-creating a new story of masculinity by exploring the power of healthy vulnerability in the community. Men are actively working to heal our wounds from the old story of masculinity that has left many of us emotionally shut down, sensually deprived, and unsure how to access or live our purpose in the world. We are leaning into our fears and learning from our failures as we discover what it means to live a life of deep connection, purpose, and fulfillment – as wholehearted men. We are redefining what it means to be a man in the 21st century, starting from within our own hearts. Join us.
Why only men? We believe that some of the deepest personal work that men need to do is best held in spaces with other men. As men, we often don’t have a lot of places in which we feel comfortable sharing our emotions and our vulnerability. Our goal here is to support each other so we can show up more fully for ourselves and the people we care about. By leaning into the language of feeling we co-create the version of masculinity we want in the world.

It is refreshing to be amongst men who also yearn to be known, vulnerable and connect. Coming out of this time, I feel gratitude and hope – both of which have never been more critically needed.
With so many superficial interactions in our day-to-day and the forced distance of this pandemic, the benefits of sharing our truths with other men in this supported space seem obvious. But the resilience and grounding strength I derive from this experience continues to surprise & inspire me.
What was most valuable for me was the opportunity to go deep and share a very vulnerable story of my relationship with my father. This isn’t a story I can share easily, but I felt the warmth and compassion of my brothers within the circle and felt safe to go to this space and share a very raw and vulnerable story. Immediately after sharing, I felt space created within myself for more love. The lesson I walked away with is trust. Trust in my truth and my pain because there is power there and we are not alone in our hurt, we can all heal forward when we take a step of bravery and share what is heavy in our hearts.

Stories of Men is a welcome opportunity for any male to explore masculinity – not in the abstract or in the theoretical, but in the real lived experiences of men in this modern time. This is a space to hear and be heard on topics that are worthy of deep and open discussion.
I left the experience feeling inspired, seen, and validated. It’s fulfilling to be a part of a community of men seeking health and wholeness.
We meet 1x per month for 90 minutes.
Open to all, by donation. Space is limited.
